Spruce's threshold-based spam detection has expanded beyond calls to now cover incoming faxes, emails, and SMS messages — helping keep your inbox cleaner without any action required on your part.

How it works

When 50 or more organizations on Spruce have blocked the same phone number, fax number, or email address, any incoming message from that sender is automatically flagged as potential spam. When that happens:

  • You won't receive a notification for the message
  • The conversation is tagged as potential spam
  • A system message prompts you to either block the sender or save them as a contact

This means genuinely suspicious senders get filtered before they reach your attention, while still giving you the final call on whether to block or keep them. Learn more in the Help Center.
