Introducing the Spruce + DrChrono Integration

Spruce now connects natively with DrChrono — a free, two-way contact sync included on the Communicator plan. No middleware. No manual exports. No third-party tools to manage. Just your patient records, staying accurate in both systems automatically.

How It Works

When you enable the integration, a one-time bulk import pulls your existing DrChrono patients into Spruce as contacts. From there, the sync runs continuously in the background:

• New patients in DrChrono appear in Spruce automatically, triggered the moment the record is created.
• Updates to name, date of birth, gender, phone numbers, or email flow between systems within seconds — change it in either place, and the other catches up.
• Manual linking is available for any contact that doesn’t auto-match, so your team stays in control of the merge.

Setup takes about 15 minutes, and Spruce Support assists with final activation.

Why It Matters

Duplicate data entry isn’t just annoying — it creates real risk. Stale phone numbers mean missed calls. Mismatched records mean your team is working from incomplete information when a patient reaches out. The Spruce + DrChrono integration eliminates that gap, so every conversation in Spruce starts with an accurate, up-to-date contact record pulled straight from your EHR.

What’s Not Included Yet
